It will be cool to be able to camp in it. Weather here is Michigan is only weather permitting half of the year. Today it is in the low 30s with rain snow mix. The older I get the more I hate the cold. When I retire I am going to spend the winter in warmer weather. Enjoy the camper it is cool.

Thanks bud!
Last year on christmas it was in the 70’s but two days later it was 20’s and blowing hard! Very unpredictable weather. I used to live in Ohio, so I know how the weather is there. That’s one reason I’m in Texas! However, the summers can be brutal, 105+ is stupid!

The wheels look like they should be farther to the rear to keep the weight more to the front, so be careful how you weight it when towing it. You want more weight in front of the wheels. Only mention this because I had a friend who had a trailer similar to that and the fresh water tank was in the very rear. He left home with a full tank and the rear got to fish tailing because it wasn't balanced good and it finally turned over. He said it was an exciting ride, LOL.

Re: 1969 Aristocrat Lo Liner

Thank russell ashley, my fresh water tank is in front curb side.

I pulled her from San Angelo to Fort Worth with a full tank and no trailer brakes( they are toast) 220 miles and she pulled real well!

I also pulled her w/o fresh eater from east Texas to Fort Worth and she did well.

I am needing to replace the brakes and upholstery, hopefully in next couple months.

Finally got some shop time,

Pulled the brake assemblies off the axle....

Re: 1969 Aristocrat Lo Liner

Now I am thinking I’m just going to replace the entire assembly and use the original up, clean up the hub and brake surface, then we should be good.

I am fairly sure these will work.

Update:
Brakes are bought and installed. Hubs are soaking to get the grease off for high heat paint.

New material for the cushions and curtains!

I opened up the rear luggage door and found the wood under the skin was all dry rotted and crumbling.

So I have been working at rebuilding it, here is the process.

Any updates on your project? I also have a vintage camper. Mine is from the 50's. Not sure who made it but mid 50's for sure. Your camper will be great when finished! I sure have enjoyed mine.

Wow! I didn’t realize how long it has been since I posted.
I got Bonnie out and backyard camped, need some tweaks so I sent her to a local RV shop and am waiting to go get her. Then some cleanup and put the cushions in and the curtains. Camp time!

I'd missed your recent post about the Lo Liner, glad to see the update. Surely hope your health has improved. I have some nice memories about a similar trailer. My folks bought a used Lo Liner around '73 or so & camped in it a LOT. My Dad & I also used it for a hunt camp some. When my Wife & I got married in '76 we took the lil' trailer on our honeymoon. Someplace we have a picture of our year old '75 dark green short Chevy van w/a bright yellow canoe on the roof of the van pulling the Lo Liner. When our daughter was about 2yrs she bonked her forehead on the trim piece across the back bunk... still has a little scar at 43. My Dad always teasingly called it the Lo Lifer. When he retired in '77 he & my Mom took off camping in it & went out west.. Texas, Arizona, Mexico, gone for 2 mos.. I think he finally had to do some frame repair from rust damage. We got a lot of use and had a lot of fun with it. My Dad bought & restored a '64 Airstream and gave the ol' Lo Liner to one of my cousins. It was destroyed on I-95 in a rainy day accident... no injuries.

My folks are gone, the kids are grown & we've got a 18' converted cargo trailer we use for camping mainly in the infield at the races, Daytona/Atlanta/Sebring.
