Bucket seats

I wanted to see if anyone could identify these seats. What do they come out of? All help is appreciated.

Re: Bucket seats

They look like 71/72 truck buckets to me, with different covers.

Is there any way to tell the difference between the 71-72 and 73-75 once covered? I am not aware of any but wanting to verify if the frames may be different? Maybe where the bolt holes are?

Re: Bucket seats

The 73-75 seats are very close to the 71-72s. I've never encountered any appreciable difference that would not allow you to install 71-72 cover on these type. However, after 75 the low back seats change on the upper portion of the seat back.

I did not see the third pic initially. The floor mounting brackets are not 69-72 truck.

If those are original covers they sure survived amazingly. If they are original,I want to say the look could be Dodge. Just a guess, but I think that's the design I remember seeing.

1973-1974 bucket seats out of a truck, blazer, or burb. Trevor

Re: Bucket seats

The 73-74 bracket mounting holes are a little different. On the front floor mounting bracket, the blazer brackets will only line up with two of the three holes on the passenger side. They will work, but not exactly the same. You could mark and weld in a nut to the factory location of the 71-72.

Thanks for the help..Would i have problems installing them on a 70 c10? which seat brackets should i get for them? Thanks Again Dave

Re: Bucket seats

The drivers side should line up fine. On the truck brackets for the passenger side, I would get a repro set and mount them up. You should be able to drill the mismatched hole in the bracket and bolt it to the seat core. No one will know the difference.
