The Old Girl is in her New Home

5 Attachment(s)
Well, after 7 months in storage, and the new house being complete, today the old girl (not my wife!!) got moved to her new home.
Battery was dead but with a jump start she fired right up and wanted to go for a run. Short trip and into the garage.
Tomorrow I start doing a complete fluid change and full inspection. Then its time for some road miles.
Let the good times roll!!!

Did you shorten the front bumper brackets to pull the bumper back in tighter to the grille and front fenders?

Well, kind of. I slid the brackets back so the front bracket hole bolts into the rear hole in the frame. Only one bolt holding each side on right now. Drilling a new hole in the bracket is on the "to do" list.

I like the look and may try the same thing, but need to find a big enough drill bit and drill to get through the bracket.

Nice to have the 'projects' closer to home.
Kinda odd single driving light... but whatever you like is what you want. :)

That driving light is from an old Jeep project. Had it laying in the garage prior to the move. Just threw it on to see what it would look like and never took it off. Its not wired in.

I have a few mis matched vintage fog lights, one is a really cool art deco style, I was looking at neverdone and thinking maybe running one is not so bad.

An art deco style light might look real cool

Re: The Old Girl is in her New Home

Now that I have all the wife's pictures, decorations and unpacking done, its time to start on the garage and the truck. Oil, trans fluid & coolant have been changed. I may buy a new battery this weekend as the old one (16 years old) wont hold a charge. Then attack the brake system to find out why the rear wheels lock up. It may snow this weekend so good time to be in a heated garage. Wish me luck.
