Brake swap question

Does anyone know if the 11" rear brakes from the '87 and earlier c10's can be swapped for the 10" brakes on a '89 10 bolt rear axle? I have an '86 C10 rear axle assy. that's sitting on my garage floor from a previous project, that has new brake components from the backing plates out to the drums. Would like to swap them onto the rear axle of my newer '89 Cheyenne project if the backing plate bolt pattern is the same. Thanks

I don't think the backing plate bolt patterns are the same. I recall a buddy of mine trying to mix parts for something & having issues.

Thanks for the reply. Had pretty much given up on expecting an answer. Don't really want to pull an axle on both assemblies just to find the backing plates have different bolt patterns.

I reached out to him for specifics but haven't gotten any feedback.
