Awesome 72 K20 Fire Truck in Kansas

Someone should go buy this thing. It looks to be a legit K20 that was stretched and turned into a fire response truck from day 1. It doesn't look like a cab chassis truck with a K swap but the rear end definitely looks like it could have been DRW with a SRW on it. Definitely a pretty clean rig and I'd love to hear some history on it. Trevor, is this near you?

Good eye Ryan! CKE242S; St. Louis built 72 K20.

Looks really clean minus that little bit of rocker rust. I agree would be really cool to see some history.

I see the rear wheels aren't Budds but are standard wheels mounted reversed. Might have had one of those Arrowcraft, or other, DRW conversions. So the center bolt in the hub cap is what holds it on, threaded to the axle flange

Yes sir it was lengthened. I originally thought it was a dually rear end but it actually has a regular HO52 with the rear wheel flipped we believe.

I added a pic to show where it was lengthened. This is a pretty sweet truck.

Since there are not many pics in this thread of this truck, I'll add some. This is a pretty cool rig. It is just missing a winch bumper and a winch.

The auction site says it sold. Who bought it? Joe, was it you? I hope so!

Last few. How many trucks like this are even out there? Not many I'd bet.

Thanks for sharing. That's a good bit. Do you happen to know who got it? How's your crew cab coming along?
