Re: '72 C/10 Custom Cruiser Project
Update time. Been getting ready for the Nats this weekend so i did some semi- experimental paintwork on the roof. i thought it looked silly with black and white and rust so i masked and bombed it black, and threw the paint divider stainless back on, i think it looks ok for now ;)

I Painted the letters on the Tailgate!. i think they look good in orange. ill take a full shot when i get it on tomorrow. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/102_2108.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/102_2109.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/102_2110.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/102_2116.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/102_2117.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/102_2119.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/102_2121.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/102_2123.jpg Thanks for looking, See ya tomorrow :chevy: |

Ive been subscribed to your build since i joined the board! its hard to tell the exact weight difference since my old gate was filled with mud, but i'd say that the original one is a bit Heaver (thicker) than the repro. its still a good gate though |

Re: '72 C/10 Custom Cruiser Project
I think is about time to bring this thread into the new year, so here we go...
First on the list: ACE Chevrolet dealer tags from Sharpie. there is some grey (primer?) on them but they should clean up nice. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2316.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2317.jpg Next, a Package of Parchment goodness. Door panels, seat belts and visors all from Randy (teeitup). Before cleaning: http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2318.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2319.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2320.jpg Visors and belts. (the new armrests are from Chris (badboy007)) http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2322.jpg Some pics of the belts: http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2360.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2357.jpg And a before shot: http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2356.jpg After: They still have a few stains here and there, but all in all a big transformation, the look better in person though, the camera kept catching weird shadows. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2368.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2366.jpg i did some light cleaning on the panels, and my mom is now working on getting all of the dirt out of the crevices. She loves doing this stuff http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2361.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2362.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2363.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...7/100_2364.jpg More pics when the door panels are done and the dealer tags are SHINY:smoke: |
