bed side to top dimentions

I am restoring a 1970 blazer and it is not in the best shape and I am not confident that the sides are square any more. I am going to be doing some bed side repairs and will eventually be cleaning up the top. I was looking around the site and could not find the factory dimension for the width of the bed and the length between top mounting bolts, that way I can make a jig and get everything back to square while I cut up the floor and structural parts. Then later bolt the hard top to it when I go to fix it and hopefully bolt the two back together with no problems.
Thank you guys in advanced.

I would fit the doors and the gate and hardtop first ....then brace everthing up and then do the metal work

I looked on that website for the correct dimensions, but couldn't find them. Would be nice info to have for sure. Thanks for that link, lots of cool stuff on it.

I did not see that either. Happy I came back to look at the thread. bought the square tubing yesterday and started laying things out last night.

I will defiantly twerk what I need to, to get all the gaps right but it would be nice to have a starting point/ see how far off I am to factory specs. I am going to need a aftermarket tail gate, and I am not the most trusting of them even though they have gotten a lot better over the last ten years.
Thanks for the help guys

I bought an aftermarket tailgate, and they are as good if not better than original ones. Mine fit perfect with only very minor fitting.

I am happy to hear that the tail gates/aftermarket are getting better on trucks. last truck I did was in late 90 early 00 and their was a lot of working the metal to get things to fit right. I guess the value of the trucks have caught up to the cars.

I was really hoping for a first Gen version of that dimension chart too
