i started out by driving from s. carolina to florida to pick up this project truck (my first one)
its a 68 titled cab/chassis with a fatman fab MII frontend a built F@*$ 8.8 rearend. 13" baer disks.. sorry for the bad pic like i said earlier, all my other ones got deleted.. you can see there, i had to stock up my newly built garage w/everything.. tools, torches, welders you name it http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20...4/CIMG1592.jpg |
Re: Project. The most expensive and longest way possible to build a truck
so once i got home with that project i immediately started to tear into it.. the truck came with a hotrods to hell rear suspension setup on it. i cut that off and sold it along with the fiberglass frontend that came with that. once i got those out of the way i ordered a step notch kit and airbag setup (2 viar 400 compressors, 2 5 gal tanks, 2 slam specialities bags for the rear, 2 art cool ride bags for the front, and an 8 valve manifold.. i installed the notch, painted the frame, painted the tanks red a little more red than the picture shows

i got that finished, then i found this truck for sale on this site. i thought it was a pretty good deal, and it had alot of parts and what not that i knew i would need.. pretty straight body nice paint, and a bb402 700r4 tranny.. still needed alot of work though

Re: Project. The most expensive and longest way possible to build a truck
truck was great, but i committed blasphemy.. i ruined the paint. we started blocking it down yesterday (there is no turning back) im going black with this one.. i always wanted black, and even though i though that blue was awesome, i know that if i got the truck done, and didn't go with the color that i always wanted then i would kick myself..
heheh i suckered 2 of my friends into "hanging out" little did they know lol http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20...uddsanding.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20...sanding2-1.jpg |

Have you done anything else to it lately?
|
Re: Project. The most expensive and longest way possible to build a truck
curious also if anything is done, that black concept truck is great, that interior treatment is one of my favorites.

Re: Project. The most expensive and longest way possible to build a truck
Looks like we might have similar trucks! I was going to build a similar interior as the posted above but changing a few things. You have nice taste!!!
