Rear Suspension?

1)Dealing with the trying to get the rear coils out. The bolts are a beast of course so it looks like Im going to have to cut the coils out my ? is if I cut the colis out to drill out the bolts will the truck come down (I'm not a mech) will it stay at that height. The truck is supported buy 2 stands and jack on the diff.

2) I was able to get some Rubicon springs for cheap retainer doesn't fit coil of course so ? those of you who are using jeep springs are you using the c10 factory coil retainers , are you guys using the jeep retainers,or did you make your own? any pics of any installed would be a great help. 63 step any help would be appreciated.

Support the frame of the truck and rear end of truck with jackstands. I would recommend using foil spring compressors for safety. Once you have everything supported and springs compressed a little youll be all set

The posts I've read, the fellas with Jeep springs are using the C10 factory coil retainers. It's pretty normal too need an angle grinder or "blue wrench" to remove the old bolts, so of course they're available aftermarket. Here's a link.

Beware, the Jeep springs yield very little load capacity, so using the truck as a truck will be a bumpy ride on the bumpstops.

Thanks gentlemen for all your help. I finally got the rusted bolts out except for one thats in the drivers side trailing arm. I didnt like the way the jeep springs fit against the retainer they werent sitting flush.so i took them off. Got some stockers for 10 bucks so at least my bed is even and i feel comfortable knowing i hve smething that shld be there and fits.
