Interesting. A clever mod, I'm thinking. That style isn't factory. Is there a spare on the otherside too? And do the wheels turn in their mounts?
In WWII the Germans had a light 4x4 truck for scouting that had the spares mounted on each side just forward of the rear tires. The truck would not high center in extreme offroad situations, because it could roll over obstructions by freewheeling on the center tires. They used them in Africa. It was called the Horch 108.

I like that. I think the outside side of a bed is where every spare belongs.

Probably fixed a problem with a rusted out Tool box in the bottom area. Very creative none-the-less!

I have to say that is ugly as hell. It completely ruins the flowing style these trucks are known for. The factory had it right when they mounted the spare underneath.

Oh. My. Goodness. Momma always told me that if I didn't have something nice to say to keep my cake hole shut. I'm living by that old adage right now.

this was i na previous post as well. and in the post they had found more beds like it so I'm thinking it wasn't a mod maybe it was factory in a different country?

Which one, the inside or the outside? The inside one is copying off a suburban.
