Picked up this truck along with parts truck Monday evening. They were listed on craigslist Monday morning and my dad and I both called within 30 minutes of it being posted. My dad told the guy we could be there that evening and the guy called back at noon said that he had had five calls and wanted to make sure that we were serious about coming and my dad told him that we would be there and take them. Fast forward to that evening and we got to his house and the trucks were just as he described and had more options than we though. He also said he had 10 more calls after noon. Truck had flatbed originally. Truck also has a 350 v8 that has not ran in 20 years.

So here is the truck.

No new pics but determined that it has the optional N.P. 435GA 4 speed, heavy duty front axle and rear springs. Truck also had H.D. cooling and 8100 GVW.

I pulled the seat out and found a small piece of the build sheet. To bad it was not all there but it is the first time I have found a piece of one.
Here are the pics of the motor. The headers are touching the frame on both sides and motor mounts are home made.

How come that build sheet seems to say Fremont, CA? I didn't know they built GMCs there... did they?

Yes it was built at the Fremont plant. The vin starts as K1502ZF. I was told the truck was from Colorado originally.

Got the interior cleaned out. Also got front clip and motor removed on Friday. The transmission had only 2 bolts holding it to the motor.

I must say those wheels and that green is just beautiful. I see you have a 4x4 engine cross member.that's rare as chicken teeth, mine is missing the passenger side stand.. I will be watching your progress...

Yeah they match your wheels lol. I was lucky the guy already found the cross member because he planned to put the 292, covers and the wheels on his 66 chevy 4x4 but sold it to someone who did not want them. This project is on the back burner so progress will be slow.
