I think that is more common than most people think. Then the pieces start flaking off and completely block the hose. One of the symptoms is that the brakes don't completely release and the shoes or caliper pucks drag....

:lol: Those things used to last a dog's age. I put a set on when I upgraded to disc brakes about 5 years ago (including the rear line). Given the country of origin, I'm expecting that I'll have to replace them as a service item at ten year intervals. The flex lines were original when I did the disc brake conversion.
