Do you mean you are just adding power brakes? If so, there is a mechanism that bolts to the firewall and the master/booster combo bolts to that. I used a bendix vacuum booster. Getting the rod that hooks to the brake pedal adjusted was the worst part. The bracket in your picture is exactly like mine on my '71 and I did NOT have to remove it.
