^ Thanks DesertCat! Yeah, I've seen so many of the straight sixes done in the more common chevy orange. Looks good, but when my truck is gonna be a burnt orange/copper color I think it'd clash. The original Alpine Green color really pops under the hood of my truck anyway.
Well, I think I've been talked into spray bombin' the exhaust, but the wife insists on watching our money right now (got a 2 week vacation comin' up!).
So might have to wait a bit on that. I'll probably go on and put it back together for now, and after vacation take it back apart and paint it up.
I've been working on it today. Put the fan and pulley back on. Really (such a small thing) happy with the fan spacer. Took the old one and cleaned it, hit it with some 1000 grit sandpaper, and buffed it with some Never Dull. It shines like a new penny now! Got my carb/throttle linkage back on the intake, good thing I took pics of that
Also painted the Chevrolet script on the valve cover with a paint marker and spray bombed the power steering pump/pulley and altenator fan. Eventually gonna convert to a 1 wire altenator (still running the external regulator) anyone know a good thread for that on the straight sixes?
