The best bang for your buck are the McGaughy 13" brakes. They are about half the price of a full Wilwood set up and look nice through a 20" wheel.

I know my opinion is biased, but I encourage you to keep the classic styling of the 78 front end. It looks much more correct for these trucks, especially on a stepside. The 88-91 Burb grill is too flat and looks squared off. It does not match the rounded lines of these trucks at all.
