Sorry to hear about the transmission troubles - 1300+ ft-lbs can really do some damage. I ran a racing TH400 behind my fuel altered for awhile, but ended up going to a 3-disc glide clutch and a Lenco from the torque my blown Pontiac is making. How important is the OD trans for you?
Thanks,
My motor will rev to 5500 but I shift it at 3600 to keep it in the torque band. When shifting at 3600 I'm hitting OD at the 1/8 mile mark and the whole back half of the track is in OD. I have never tried to make a run reving it out. I looked into a Bruno/Lanco but it was just to much money. I should try to figure it out on a calculator to see if it will work.
Tire size 31
Gear 2.91/1
1/4 mile speed 150-160
