I plan on doing a few of these over my lifetime so the tool kit might be a good investment. I'll look into rental prices though. If it's considerably cheaper then I'll go that route. Thanks for the suggestion.

I bought the a/c from laidbackrecreations during their July sale. List price for the VA system is $1395 on VA's website. I saved a bit of money though.
PM Laidbackrecreations and see if they can give you a quote. They had a huge sale in July, so they might be able to give you the same deal since it's 1 day after. The LCAs were in the $600 range IIRC, but I bought them a couple of months ago so that price might not be accurate anymore.
