My neighbor has a NICE black '68 Nova, 540 Merlin, glide, T. brake, 4 link Dana 60. Its licensed and marginally streetable. Best so far of 9.97@143 on drag radials. Launches pretty good on a well prepared track but a month or so ago he had it out on a lonesome street and it got away when he shifted. Went WAY off the road and backed lightly into a pole. Light damage but still $$$.

I am not going to touch this engine. i have known the guy that i bought it off of for years. he had to sell it as part of a divorce settlement. freshened this year my a local very well known race engine builder. i helped pull it out of his car myself. it went 4.40 in the eighth in a 2000 pound rear engine dragster. it went 7.34 in the 1/4 of a mile. i will either put it in my nova or a 3000 pound malibu. it will go fives in the 1/8 or eights in the 1/4 in a 3000 pound car. next year will tell.
