If it were me I'd return them.
For that price point I doubt the optics do anything to direct the light. You would be far better off with a set of Cibie or even Hella sealed beam conversion lamps. Those you can see with! Add in relays no matter what you decide to actually get power to the headlamp vs the huge designed in voltage loss of the stock harness.

Then if you need anymore reason talk to your local CHP office and ask them about forward facing red or blue lamps.
