Re: Opinions on Summit racing paint?
Acrylic Urethane (your link says it is) is a widely known chemistry when it comes to making paint. I'd compare it to beer... every brand is good... just keep asking enough people.
As far as durability, Acrylic Urethane is at the lower end while BC/CC urethane systems are far more durable, easy to fix, easy to polish etc. but it does cost more.
If you are going flat finish, you'll have to stay with Acrylic Urethane (experts will disagree but then again, they are experts who know how to spray a flat clear...not for the faint of heart!).
Just know that the more you touch, wash or wipe your flat finish, you're going to polish it and it will get shiny spots.
Your best chance of success is to get to know your local paint supplier like others have said. Go in, take pictures of what you're painting, tell teh story...they should be willing to listen and coach you. If they aren't, leave and go down the street to the next store. Don't get hung up on brand... it's just another beer company!
