The crate engines are probably sprayed on some kind of assembly line and they do an OK job, but they missed some areas and had some runs (mostly concerned with the bare metal areas) so I spent some time with red scuff pads and degreaser and laid a couple coats of VHT satin black on it. I can't help but post pics of the valve covers sitting on it, they're so freakin' cool.
