Yep, 1 too many zeros. Anyway - it's not a custom camper. That seems to be what anyone selling a 3/4 ton truck claims these days. Truck does seem pretty original, even has the 71-only black ring on the grille surround that has faded away on most by now. Not a bad truck, assuming the price is a misprint $4100 about right for its condition, maybe even a little high. But who knows.
In 71, a Custom Camper would have had the CustomCamper20 emblem on the fender, and this one still wears its Cheyenne. In 72, if it were the same truck (and also actually a real Custom Camper), the Cheyenne emblem would be present and the script "
Custom Camper" nameplate would be above the door handle - a 72-only thing (for Chevys). So either the seller doesn't know he doesn't have a Custom Camper or he does and he wants the buyer to think he has one... Never know which, best to be informed. Perhaps that bit of knowledge, when sharing with the seller, might knock the price down to 40K
