That's sux. I'm sorry that happened to you. I've been there myself, and the estimates I got for the bedside on my truck was over $1,400. To make the matters worse the guy(kid) that hit me did not have a license, truck he was driving wasn't registered to him, and the tags were way over due(expired tags). He even hit 3 other people for the same thing, and never paid them for the damages. He would not return my calls or anything. So I fixed it myself, all i did to mine was hit the inner bed panel with a rubber hammer , and it popped right out like nothing had happened, besides the couple smaller dings above it, and the dent on the cap where the tail light mounted.
