Late production, I think the bulletin announcing the availability of Chevy V-8's in GMC pickups was dated in March. Original rear shocks, looks like aftermarket overload springs. I added the original linkage type power steering to mine, it was a real bear to steer with that heavy V-6 and A/C over the front wheels. I would imagine this one would steer a lot easier! Very nice truck.

Thanks! Yes, mine is a late production truck as well I believe...I haven’t had a chance to check, because it’s in storage but I’m hoping since it is late production, I have the dimple in the frame for easier power steering fitment if I choose to go that route...
