1985 and 1987 K5s

Hello all,

I had a really long post written up and decided it was too wordy so I shortened it (slightly) and will add more pictures instead.

I'm contemplating a move in my future and trying to downsize, and these 2 have been sitting too long and need to go to someone who has time for them.

First is a 1985 M1009 CUCV. It has a lot of new parts on it (starter, 2 brand new batteries, new 1/0 battery cables, glow plugs, gp relay, starter relay, fuel filter, fuel sending unit, lift pump) and it fires up and runs great. The TH400 trans is very sluggish in drive so there appears to be an issue there. PO said the transfer case has been rebuilt. Truck has very little rust for this area. The driver kick panel/floor area has a few holes, the rockers have a little bit and the upper corners of the exterior roof have some holes. The firewall is perfect. Interior is complete but pretty tired. Back glass is missing. It has some typical dents and bruises from military use. I put brand new Toyo ATs on it 2 years ago.

I also have a 1987 Jimmy that was a DD for several years until I discovered vast amounts of roof rust. Rust took over most of the top of the truck and the firewall. I started to attempt a fix but the cancer quickly spread and I'm not an accomplished body man. I bought the CUCV to do a body swap onto the Jimmy chassis but other things got in the way. It has a good running 350 converted to carb. It has a Lunati cam, Edelbrock manifold and carb, and Hedman headers. The trans was rebuilt 7ish years ago and has maybe 5k miles on it. It has new front end steering parts, new bumper, grill, and headlight buckets, new window motors including tailgate window motor, new radiator and fan shroud. The interior is stripped due to the body swap plan. I have all the interior parts to go with it. The tires have great tread but they are old. It has stock really wheels. Doors and fenders are close to perfect condition. Truck was a highly optioned rig with power everything. Everything the CUCV needs is available on this truck.

Both trucks have titles, one in my name and one signed over from previous owner. I have a ton of spare parts: extra gray freshly recovered back seat, gray front seat covers to match, gray console, rear wind deflector, 4 speed 4x4 manual transmission, underhood AC box, a fender and a spare tailgate. I have several totes of misc trim pieces, steering parts, AC parts, and hard to find odds and ends. I also have a complete westherstripping kit that will do an entire truck.

Let me know if you have questions. I work shift work and I'm happy to answer questions when available.

I'm asking $4200. I'll consider other offers. I can also help with relocation within a reasonable distance.

Thanks, John
