Did a Dorky Cheapskate thing, I was wanting to keep pine needles and leaves out of the vent. I had some adhesive, and aluminum screen. Again, this is something that can be ripped out by whoever restores this. If not, that aluminum is not going to get trashed by the sun's UV rays.

That would soon silt up with sonoran traildust thus clogging it up. On a plus note, the underdash maze is kept packrat free.

Yeah BBQs. They follow me home. People donate me their broken ones and I fettle and refurbish them, or part out the goodies, or make a ex-gasser into a coalburner. I got a 14'' Weber Smokey Joe Jr at a Gooodwill for $3.Perfect tailgate sized, and the ventilating circles still rotate and will starve out the hottest fire. Leaving chunks of reusable coal.
