Re: 6L90 Column Shift questions

I used the original column and the top half of the shift linkage. I bought a lokar linkage kit. From that I used about 6" of the rod and a rod end bearing and welded the two halves together.

The slip bolt used on the original linkage helped with setup, and means that only throw length and transmission shift lever angle need to be worked out to get a good working setup.

My 6l90e has P R N D M 1 which matches to the P R N D 3 2 1 of the original. Some 6L90 have an extra quadrant for a different pattern. You may not be able to use this with the linkage setup. M is also D4 and enables TUTD. HP Tuners, and I assume other tuning software, can change some of the drive quadrants.
