Re: Wet look truck

It's funny, that truck has blue on the firewall but no sign on the truck it's self in all of the wear through that it was ever blue. The story I got was that at one time in it's life it had been used to haul mail to post offices in Oregon.

My daughter wants to build it and put a hoist on it with a classy flatbed but I'm just shooting for the classy flatbed.

I've got 77 Dualie running gear for it front and rear but the engine is still undecided. Probably a small block with automatic though.

It has the best looking design for top of the fender Turn signals I have ever seen though.

I bought that truck

and this one That is the back side of the cab donor for my stretched (not extended) cab build for 100 dollars for the pair in 2010 when a guy in Patterson Wa advertised them on Craigslist for 100. The frame of the red truck probably had 800 lbs of steel welded to it for mounts for a tank and pumps and looked like they had changed and added several times without cutting anything off.

The back of the cab is near perfect though.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
