So I went to the garage where I have my radiator support/inner fender assembly I rescued from storage today and did some measuring. Yep, driver side is shorter than passenger side. Never would have thought that. Exact amount I can't tell without locating that assy on the frame but it appears to be more than an inch.
Could make a spacer but I guess better solution is to locate a E brake bracket. Still need dimensions or template to locate holes correctly.

It can be done without the bracket. The bracket would no doubt make it easier but I can be done. I will snap a picture as poof. I explained what I did above. It has worked well for the 3,000 road miles to date.
