Basically the trailing edge of the inner fender is just pull toward the toe board (as the bolts are tightened). The actual position the inner fender does not change. All fender to inner fender bolt holes lined up fine.

Again the best way is probable to use the brace but I did not have one plus I like less clutter and "extra" stuff.
