Having run a Pro-flo for 20+ years now (started with the PF2), I wouldn't hesitate to run a new cam on a new PF4 install. On the same token, I would never waste money on a non-roller cam again.

I completely agree with SunSoaked on this.
We have a 86 K10 with an LM7 5.3 LS swap with a Pro Flo 4, BTR stage 3 cam and it fired right up.
Edelbrock has a bunch of base tunes to get you close then you can tweak it from there.
The Edelbrock forum is really excellent.
