I think a lot of the time the clutch pedal is a bit higher off the floor due to the need for travel at the other end. a hyd system may be a little different due to mechanical advantage etc. it is a personal preference thing as long as a full pedal travel results in the required amount to make the slave end work to full potential. I seen one where the fella was having brake trouble and the reason was simply that the pedal bottomed out before the master cylinfer had a full stroke of travel.
