I put a 350 crate motor in my '71 Jimmy in 1999. I got a Weiand intake and a Carter AFB Performance Series.
When I rebuilt a 292 L6 for my '68 C/10 Stepside, the Holley R8007 390 CFM carb was shot -- after only 25 years and 250,000 miles! So I looked for another Carter, but Federal Mogul had lost interest in the Hot Rod Aftermarket, so the only option was an Edelbrock 1404 w/ 500 CFM.
Very happy. I prefer the AFB style for ease of maintenance.

PS. You need to cap that other vacuum port.
