Re: Old School Hot Rod Truck (1964)

Hi HeartRod, wow that is a great build thread. As of now my Rx7 is taking up some of my time as it's my daily and I needed to install the 8.8 ford differential in it to make it more reliable. Soon though the truck will be back on deck with a guide coat some blocking and touch up filler where needed. Then paint. Hopefully this guy in town working my 454 will discover the spring aligners he's looking for. He's pretty much retired from machine work , but took on my job as he doesn't do many big blocks now. I'm glad he did.

How do you like the blower on the 68? I haven't made it through your build thread yet but I'm trying to go through the whole thing.

Things left for the 64:

Decide on what to do about the cruddy 1960 hood. It's ok, but will never be straight.

Guide coat, block, fill, prime, block, paint cab.

Figure out how to tub my bed correctly for the 15X10 rims and also figure out what width axle I need.

Paint bed, reassemble truck

Install engine and drive it.

As my neighbor would say, getting closer.
