Ok so looked into the circuit panel, found I was missing 2 washers on the fuel gauge posts.

Added those and bam! Working fuel gauge. Now the temp gauge moves slightly with key on but when I ground the sender wire it doesn't spike up.

Next on the list will be tracing the wire back into the truck.
