Years ago after finally getting my truck road worthy, I drove 3 hours to an annual Super Chevy event and wrestling the manual steering and manual brakes was a chore to say the least. With that being said, I'd seriously consider: power disc brakes, power steering, front suspension rebuild, quality shocks, front sway bar. Made one hell of a difference. Plenty of aftermarket kits and parts are available for your year model too..
