The pictures make it look like a 1 piece seal but it is not. It’s got it’s own build in wear sleeve of sorts that installs on the axle. With My 1998 K2500 I could never seem to keep a hub seal in the passenger side for anymore than about 20,000 miles before they would start seeping oil into the brakes. After 100,000 miles of this, I swapped to the new style seals after being aggravated and having tried everything I could think to get them to seal. Since swapping to the new style, I’m 50,000 miles in and no issues since. Like I said I use them every time I tear into a set of hubs now.
