And a 2-piece driveshaft is normally in a long bed truck, but I have seen them in a shortbed like yours before.
Most switch to a 1-piece.
Less u-joints and eliminates problems with that carrier bearing.
Especially in high horsepower applications.

Interesting. It appears to be original and the guy I bought it from pretty much took the stock truck and lowered it so probably is. I can always switch later I suppose. Thanks for the knowledge.
