Re: project "C10 Fever" (68 factory black 396 swb)

Been too busy for the last few months to mess with the truck, but last night I had a work get together at my house and took advantage of having a few co-workers that could help me throw the finished bed back onto the truck. That gave me a little inspiration.

Just a few more tweaks to the wiring harness and then reinstall the bumper and tailgate and the back end of the truck will be done. I installed rubber pads between the bed and frame (1/4" I think), and looking at the body lines I think I'll need to install new cab mounts to true it up.

Gotta love OEM parts. The bed I removed was a steel floor. I used cross braces and header panel from a donor wood floor bed. The clearances between the tires and the wheel wells are still 5/8" each, exactly what they were before the steel bed came off. Whew!
