Wow, there's a blast from the past - I'm the OP! And still have the truck and keyless system.
I can tell you that 10 years later it's still going strong! I did have an issue with the lexus button a few years back and they told me they also had problems and stopped modifying and selling them.
However, as well as the lexus button fit, I stumbled on another great fitting option - if you get their 25mm button it screws right into the ignition bezel!
You can get different color lights and finishes (hard to see, mine is black, you can get a chrome surround and a few others)
You have to get rid of everything else in behind it, which leaves you with no way to mount the bezel but i just used a little 3M two faced tape along the edge and it's not going anywhere.
