Still wondering if there's any advantage from having the primaries opening over 1-2-3 and secondaries over 4-5-6 with a carb-to-front orientation?
Likely if you where to measure you’d see the primary on a front facing carb is less than half an inch from a sideways set up.
The offy is a single plane style with plenum and runners all open.
All six cylinders see the primaries or the secondaries at wot.
