Good news is I started thinking straight.

And said what would a farmer do with his farm truck in this situation.

I know. pull out the ole tombstone welder and fix it.

So off to my 35 year plus welding veteran who does this stuff all day every day and for 20 bucks he had me all patched up. He said after cleanup and welding the pool and puddle looked really good so he was sure it strong. We both decided not to grind it down since well" this ain't no show truck" and the extra will just make it stronger.

This gets me to where I can move it around and get it in garage to work on king pins. Driver king pin is all good taking nice grease and full swing no issues. Passenger on the other hand is only getting me like 10 degrees each side of center before it starts binding bad.

got the parts guys out west sending me a used one off a desert storage find.
