Years ago I had a brief stint in a body shop, and actually became somewhat decent, but most has been forgotten. Driven with the confidence of how good I used to be, supplemented by trace memories I figured I'd have no problem picking up the gun again. Unfortunately, I was mired by reality. I was trying to get a somewhat satin finish so it took a little playing around. The first time I sprayed it I went a little heavy on the clear in the mix, so it almost went on like a candy paint. It didn't really cover the orange completely and was shinier than what i wanted. Sanding ensued. This time I just mixed the base with the clear 50/50, added hardener and reduced it till it was suitable to spray. Here's what I got:
