Ok, here's two pictures from when I first put the engine in 3 years ago. The heads have no bolt holes for accessories. They have a rectangle at the front.
The second picture shows the number one spark plug hole. My thoughts to run the tapered plug came from the beveled edge leading to the threads.

I've only done plugs on this truck, my Dakota, and my dad's 02 Silverado.

The heads on my other 283 that I pulled out have no accessory holes and have the single triangle on top of the rectangle (3rd picture)

On the sheet where I wrote down my numbers, I wasn't real clear on the spread. I had a difference in PSI between high and low of 10 PSI. I had about a 4% difference from the average in PSI at the highest and lowest numbers.

Thank you for the tip! I was glad to see that there was not a cylinder completely out of line compared to the others
