Don't need a high volume one as my stock one was cooling nicely when it wasn't leaking.
In a nut shell, you don't need a ruler or tape measure.. If the back cover on the pump almost touches the timing chain cover, it's a short pump.. If there's a gap between the pump back cover and timing chain cover, such as what you have, it's a long pump...
