Re: cab vent

I just found a few videos showing these vents are a well known source of water leaks on these trucks and how to replace them.

I also have a water leak above the rear window. I replaced the 3rd brake light gasket and it appeared to have taken care of the leak so I went ahead and had the headliner replaced. Then after a couple of months I see water stains on the new liner from the same old leak. So I ran a real small bead of silicone around the light. Today I ran water over the top rear of the cab for 1/2 hour and saw no signs of leakage up there but both these cab vents are leaking.
Nice to see they can be replaced without removing the bed.

Another point of leakage on our trucks is found here.
