Are we sure it isn't a gauge problem? That thing has a portion of the sender that will cut of fuel if the PCM reads that the oil pressure drops below a safe level. They have been using that as a safeguard for many years going back to the days of the TBI . I'm sorry for doing the bottom of the page type thing I thought I had something to add and if that has been covered please forgive me and I'm sorry for your situation. I also sense that your not the type of guy that would replace a 6.2 with a junkyard 5.3 for a thousand or $1500 bucks just to get the ride up and going for another 75 thousand or so, I understand and respect that. I do hope you get it figured out. It is very uncommon for any of that LS family of motors to lose pressure like that the pumps are such an efficient design. Good luck Jim
