well it has been awhile since i have updated this thread. I replaced the tank switch valve which was leaking gas and now the truck runs and drives
I have been watching the local pick and pull for another set of tank straps for the drivers side. I was able to score a 2nd pair of straps off of an 85 r3500 for $8 as well as a full set of 19.5 rims and tires off of a 1994 3500hd
i have been searching for a set for years and i am stoked to finally have a set for this truck. it will probably ride like crap with the 19.5's vs the 16's but at least it will look cool right? hopefully santa will bring more truck parts and really for the drive home it needs the dash buttoned up, 2nd gas tank installed, and probably and oil change for good measure
