I had the same trouble with a buddy's truck. We went with a 7127-1W (1 wire) and it couldn't keep up with the AC being on.
I did a little checking and found a 7294-1W (1 wire) is more amps earlier in the RPM range and overall.
These are Endurance brand part numbers, if you don't use 1 wire, just substitute the clock position you want in the last number, ie: 7127-3, 7294-12, etc.
Oh, the 7924 case has the same overall dimensions as the popular 7127 case, just higher amp.
