thanks for the advice.i have been thinking about how to go at this problem and repair the mess under the hood,after the truck is repainted.the painted parts are easy,just get them cleaned up,ready for paint and do them again.it's the overspray everywhere else,like you say,rubber stuff,wiring harness's.i'll give that a try and whatever home brewed hillbilly concoction i can come up with to get this mess cleaned up.thanks,take care.Greg
